Deathcrush’s eventful first six months have included playing support for Nisennenmondai (JPN) one humid summer evening at Mono, being booked for Music Fest Oslo by Blå main man Sten Ove Toft, getting down to it at a Berlin show where the sweat was running down the walls and people were hanging through the windows, featuring Nam Phuong Nguyen (Fjorden Baby!) as a guest artist during the Phono festival – and by then their live schedule was practically filled through to December.
The first of these autumn concerts was on October 3rd as supportfor legendary Japanese noise band Melt Banana, and more will be announced during the next weeks – its blow by blow until they hit the stage during by:Larm in February.
The first two songs from the band’s session at Crystal Canyon studio have received recognition from both NRK and the student radio stations. Both “Lesson # 1 (for Snoop Dogg)” and "Lesson # 2 (for Cliff Burton) are recommended tracks by NRK Urørt and is played regularly on the program. The latter is available on “Bransjevelter # 5” (Tiger / Diger / Fysisk Format’s compilation release, Aug. 2010), and has been praised by both Bra Trommis” and “Music, Dance and Drama” on Radio Nova.
