Ziggy Boomfall is an artist who always gives his audience what he promises, and Ziggy Boomfall faithfully promises to always deliver an explosive live show. He began the first phase of his artistic career as the singer for Senegalese dance group Beat Box Boys in which he was originally one of the dancers, so named as their show was based on both beat boxing and rapping. In time he focused more on shaping his solo career, really beginning to develop the music to which the crew had been dancing to. The crew had been booked for shows all over town, and rapidly became stars in their native, Dakar (where star Akon also has his family roots). Ziggy who creates all his own material, moved to Sweden during his teens, and continued to pursue his solo ambitions in his new home. He really arrived on the Swedish scene after a stellar Stockholm show in 2001 at Nalen alongside the globally renowned Positiv Black Soul, who he then went on to tour with. Ziggy then went on the road with (The Swedish hip-hop queen) Ayesha in 2002/2003 and amongst others played key festivals Hultsfred and Propaganda. More recently Ziggy relocated to Norway making a splash in the Oslo hip-hop scene. He’s played all across town with shows at John Dee, Rockefeller, a totally rocking Oslo Musikkfest, the exclusive Palace Grill, hipster joint The Villa, Cosmopolite, Oslo Spasiparken and Skuret amongst others, spreading good-time vibes wherever he went. The release of his single followed, “Don’t miss the party” being launched at Onkel Donald on the 4th July 2009.
