It didn’t take long for Margret Berger to win the hearts, and the ears, of the Norwegians. Her first record “Chameleon” from 2004 showed her to be an artist not just for that moment but also with promise for the future. Her second full length entitled “Pretty Scary Silver Fairy” followed in 2006 and is the work of an artist really hitting her stride. She worked on the record for two full years until she’d finally created something that adequately represented what she really wanted to achieve. Margret herself often uses the word “vision” when she talks about the album; “The title, as well as the record itself, was a kind of vision I had. I wanted it to be beautiful as well as harsh… Rough beats glazed with sweet melodies!” Whilst Margret does write all her own lyrics and tunes she does collaborate with others on occasion to create something of a shared vision. Margret is currently working on her third album with producer Tomas Nerbø Smågesjø in Trondheim.
