Adobe Houses are a brand new band who combine classic West Coast rock with modern American indie, the band inhabit a place where Crosby, Stills & Nash would happily invite Grizzly Bear round for a night cap and sing to the sunrise. The band are defined by their vocal harmonies and as such have three vocalists on the payroll. Adobe Houses have spent much of the past year writing with producer Andreas Berczelly and have now a wealth of material to draw from for their debut album Escape Velocity which will be recorded in the coming months. The band are a diverse bunch, just as likely to be inspired by The Beatles as Local Natives and perhaps even electronica or the occasional “guilty pleasure.” The band sees themselves writing not only in Oslo, but also in remote mountain cottages, Berlin apartments and amongst the hipsters of Williamsburg to soak up the atmosphere. The band will focus heavily on touring and the various members of the band have plenty of experience on the road playing as part of bands like Big Bang.
