Thelma and Clyde are an electronic art pop duo with a love of 90s trip hop. They set themselves apart from bands of a similar ilk not least due to vocalist Hanne’s earthy voice and drummer Trygve’s smart beats, which are the bedrock on which their sound is built. In their short career to date they’ve already been Urørt endorsed a couple of times, released one E.P. and have been taken under the wing of radio guru Harald Are at NRK P2. The band are well known for their outlandish live shows featuring all sorts of costumes and dancers for visual effect accompany their dark, dreamy pop melodies and meaty dancey beats. The core duo are augmented on stage by colleagues Maylen Rusti, Andreas Stensland Løwe and Morten Martens. Their debut album was released in November 2010 and was mixed by Jan Bang and Erik Honorè, who are perhaps best known for their work for artists such as
Brian Eno and David Sylvian.
