The fact that the world is full of contradictions is plain for all to see. Sometimes they cancel each other out, but every now and then, the opposite sides do quite the opposite, sometimes they actually enhance each other. Imagine The Lionheart Brothers as a plant. The roots are well anchored deep in the earth, whilst the leaves stretch up towards the sky. The roots are deeply entrenched in the world of punk. The leaves on the other hand aspire to resplendent, celestial pop. And it is from this starting point that Audun Storset and Marcus Forsgren chose to embark on their mission to explore the major and the minor mysteries of the musical universe and thus shape their artistic vision. The E.P. “Colour Contrast Context” was released in 2004 and was even exalted as one of the records of the year by some critics. Later that year they added an additional couple of musicians and began work on their first full length. Three years later their critically acclaimed “Dizzy Kiss” L.P. was released and even reached 14th place in the charts. After a lengthy absence, the band are now ready to return. “Steep-gradient dreampop and lo-fi loveliness. The bridge between Camden and California.” – The Guardian
