Even though Departure are clearly a band who create beautifully catchy pop melodies, the band have a foot firmly planted on planet rock. The band have a clear identity of their own, in spite of clearly being influenced by current acts like The Killers, Jimmy Eat World and Your Vegas. But it’s precisely this makes Departure one of the most radio friendly and exciting bands to come out of Trondheim in a very very long time. In spite of the short time the band have been together, they have already attracted quite a following mostly due to the quality of their well written songs. The band have recently spent time in the studio recording their debut release entitled “Razorblades & Lemonades” to be ready for Autumn 2010. A hectic tour schedule will then include shows nationwide. Departure are aiming high and are ready to take on all challenges.
