Johnny Hancocks are a distinctive hybrid rock act making steady progress. The band’s history stretches back to summer 2005 when their first incarnation came together. Over a couple of rather hazy years of psychedelic jamming, primordial funk, laser rock, two demos, a self produced EP, all sorts of antics and a three figure tally of shows Jonny Hancocks are gradually forming their own sonic identity and dogma. Since then the band have added parts to their lightning generator and ingredients to their witches brew. Noiserockelectropopdiscostep is one of of thousands of labels that could be applied to this band, Johnny Hancocks are building a monster. The band have plenty of irons in the fire at present, working with Great Moments for management, recording their second EP with Ashley Stubbert [Purified In Blood, Pearl Jam etc.] and putting together a video with Blæst Film [Kvelertak, Haust ++] with a release penciled in for December 2010.
