ULVER over their fifteen year career have sold over half a million records world wide. From being an influential black metal band in the early nineties, they developed into something more experimental taking in elements of electronica, jazz, trip hop and avant garde / prog rock with symphonic undertones. ULVER have in addition made music for a number of films. Celebrated director Harmony Korine once said “There`s a real lineage from a composer like Wagner to a band like Ulver.” Over their long career ULVER have released fifteen albums but up until last year only ever played seven live shows, something that afforded the band a mythical reputation. As well as becoming a key name on the Norwegian scene, the band are well established internationally with fans all over the world. In February 2010 the band played 22 sold out shows across Europe and peopled traveled from far and wide to see them play. ULVER’s live show is delivered by seven on stage musicians delivering the most polished of sounds complemented by a first class light show. ULVER will release their new album in the Spring of 2011.
