Which Swedish band was it that Pink Floyd gushed about when they collected their Polar Music Prize a while back? And which Swedish “Rap duo” was it that Faith No More’s Mike Patton hailed as the best band at Peace and Love festival in 2009? They were of course both talking about Little Marbles, Sweden’s freshest most innovative little pop band. It has been two years since the release of their critically acclaimed debut “Vi accepterar mitt kaos” (“We Accept My Chaos”), two years that have encompassed hundreds of shows, almost every festival in Sweden, support tours with Miss Li and Stefan Sundström, a host of TV appearances and playlisting on student radio and P3 (the key national radio station). May 2010 saw the release of their follow up “Vi slutar när vi är klara” (“We’ll Stop When We’re Ready”), a bunch of awesome songs, written in Swedish, all smart, catchy and classy arrangements – all cleverly coordinated by Miss Li and wingman Sonny Boy Gustafsson who produced, arranged and even contributed to the songwriting. Fantastic.
