Chili Vanilla all met on the jazz course at Sund college and are comprised of Synne Sanden (vocals), Steffen Granly (tuba) and Siv Øyunn Kjenstad (drums). Their music is a mixture of jazz, pop and rock and this past summer included appearances at a number of key jazz festivals including Trondheim, Kongsberg, Molde and Oslo. They’ve also played live on the respected “Music Editorial” show on NRK P2 and at the Skuretfestivalen in Trondheim. The band have a dynamic sound, full of contrast between the energetic and chilled out and the groove laden and laid back, the pieces all composed together as a group, ready for Synne to provide vocals for. Chili Vanilla create music that tells a story, and ones just as likely to be about narcissistic world champions as the love of your life.
