Dennis who’s been producing tunes since the early 90s was part of the Jazid Collective label with Hans Petter Lindstrøm. Since then he’s been running his own little label, Akkustikk Recordings, which is not only a vehicle to release his own musical output but also occasionally work from some other folks too. His varied and peculiar rhythmic jams, often featuring his own voice used for melodic or even percussive purposes, range from dub, future and cosmic disco to house and techno. He also mixes up live drums and percussion for his live show. Even an accordion or perhaps a guitar occasionally find their way into his tracks, even though as Dennis freely admits, he can play neither accordion nor guitar or even synth. His debut album proper – “Elektro Donkey” – is now ready and features collaborations with sax player Dennis Otone and his sister Christabelle who released the “Real Life Is No Cool” L.P. with Lindstrøm. The record will hopefully see the light of day in 2011.
