120 Days had their first rehearsal in Autumn 2001, then called The Beautiful People. A year later, they had left their home town of Kristiansund to travel to Oslo and concentrate 100% on their music. After two years of intense development, rehearsing and playing in Oslo, their first E.P. “Sedated Times” was released, getting good reviews across the board. Later that year the released a self titled follow up E.P. which only then truly began to demonstrate their true potential as a band. After playing by:Larm the whole thing snowballed, with bookings for Reading / Leeds and Sonar. Eventually in 2006 their debut full length saw the light of day through Vice Records in the US. This was their first release under the new moniker of 120 Days, and an awakening of interest in the band stretching far beyond Norwegian shores. Press feedback was immense and the band embarked on a heavy touring schedule for the next year or so, before disappearing back underground away from the public gaze. The band has popped up here and there for live shows over the last couple of years and two of the band embarked on a successful krautrock side project called Bygdin, who also play by:Larm this year. But again the beast that 120 days is stirring and rumors of a new album waiting in the wings have begun to circulate.
