Almost ten years ago three young girls decided to follow their dreams. Instruments and equipment were borrowed, and without even being able to play them they organized their first band practice. Even they made more plain old noise than actual music that afternoon, the girls knew that this was something they really wanted. As time went by their efforts began to yield results. They released a seven inch, played key festivals Øya and Storås, were an NRK Urørt track of the week and were described by Pitchfork as Norway’s most promising new band. Winter 2007 saw the release of “The Mary ep” which amongst others received a favorable review in Dagbladet (2nd biggest Norwegian daily paper) scoring 5/6. Then after a quiet period the girls returned to playing together this past summer, recording their debut full length with Audun Storset from the band Lionheart Borthers. In August they, to everyone’s great surprise, won JUBA’s unsigned band competition which secured them a slot at Øya and the release of their debut “In Pearls and Gold” in January 2011.
